Pinal County, in
cooperation and coordination with the City of Maricopa and the
City of Casa Grande, has initiated a study to examine new
transportation facilities to provide connectivity through
western Pinal County. Transportation goals include new
high-capacity facilities that can handle the projected east-west
travel demand within the area from State Route 347 to I-10. Once
an alignment has been identified it will be examined further,
along with a No-Build alternative.
As part of the study process, two Public Scoping Meetings were
held - one on December 8, 2011, in the City of Maricopa, Arizona
and the other on December 14, 2011, in the City of Casa Grande,
Arizona. These Scoping Meetings provided an opportunity for the
public to learn about the study and provide input on a potential
alignment for a new transportation facility, as well as provide
comments and concerns.
An additional set of Public Meetings is expected to be held
during early summer 2012 in the City of Maricopa and the City of
Casa Grande where an identified alternative will be presented
along with the No-Build alternative for additional input from
the public.
You may access the materials viewed and distributed during the
2011 Public Meetings below, as well as links to past studies
which provide a background to the foundation and history of the
Pinal East-West Corridor Study. The Pinal East-West Corridor
Study Team thank you for visiting the study website.
